| Vibration
Free Workstations & Platforms Vibrations cause problems in using many different types of equipment in numerous and diverse areas of technology. The need to remove vibrations to optimise performance is crucial. Our AM series of workstations and platforms gives the user a vibration free surface on which equipment can be placed. Workstations and platforms are available in a range of sizes to suit most applications, can support loads of up to 200kg and are supported with a wide range of accessories. The AM workstation consists of the AM anti-vibration platform and a frame which screws to the base of the platform. The AM platform is only 50mm deep and is supplied with rubber feet for use on existing work tops. It incorporates four unique pneumatic rolling diaphragm isolators with damping volumes ( patent pending) giving high performance isolation and having an ultra low natural frequency of 2Hz vertically and horizontally. This frequency is critical as vibrations in buildings caused by such things as lifts, traffic, machinery and other sources of disturbance typically becoming problematic from 7Hz upwards, thus in order to achieve effective isolation, the natural frequency of the isolator needs to be several times lower than 7Hz. Each isolator incorporates an active self levelling unit. Operational height is adjustable by up to 8mm to an accuracy of 0.2mm . Air supply can be by airline (only 5 bar required for 200kg) , gas bottle of silent compressor . The platforms feature a seamless top tray which floats free from the base of the platform. This top surface is bonded inside to a dampening aluminium honeycomb ,giving great rigidity to the structure. The frame which bolts to the AM anti-vibration platform to make up the AM workstation is available as standard in epoxy coated steel and optionally in stainless steel . The frame is supplied with four adjustable levelling feet and optionally with castor/levelling feet to allow the workstation to be easily moved around. Arm rests are available which bolt directly to the frame legs and can be adusted in height by the user. Both the workstations and the Platforms are available in a range of finishes.
